There were 37 submissions in 2001 from 12 different Michigan health plans.
- February 2001 Leade Health and Trinity Health / Care Choices HMO co-presented at the "Addressing Tobacco in Managed Care Conference". The session, entitled "Creating a Smoking Cessation Benefit that Works", examined how a health plan can integrate pharmacy benefits and national tobacco control guidelines into a smoking cessation program, remove barriers to member enrollment, and develop winning partnerships with physicians, employer groups and physician hospital organizations.
